In 2004, Bar was invited to be the SUNY Ulster Artist in Residence
teaching "The Heart of Creative Song Writing" during the fall term at that
college.
Earlier in the year, she was the resident artist for the Hudson Valley
Youth Chorale, and in 2005, she taught and performed as artist in
residence in the Lake Pleasant, Piseco and Wells School Districts in the
Adirondacks.
Additionally, more and more people are coming to Bar for private lessons
at her home studio. What she's discovering is that she loves to teach and
she loves to learn what her students inspire her to learn. She focuses on
enjoying creativity, and she works with students differently depending on
what their interests are. For some, she teaches with the guitar, others
the piano or the voice, and still others through songwriting. With
professional adults, or those who have a specific performance on their
calendar, she loves to coach them through performance anxiety and help
