Benefit Concert For Forrest Byrdcliffe Theater Friday, September 8, 2000 The benefit for Forrest at the Byrdcliffe Theatre in Woodstock was a big success raising over $6000 dollars (!) for Forrest. The benefit sold out early with many people offering to pay the ticket price just to sit on the floor! Katie Legnini, who organized the event, was very pleased with the results and the support she received from everyone who helped put on the event. (See Thank You for acknowledgements). Don't know who Forrest is?

Peter Schoenberger, Forrest's Father, was able to attend the event and spoke with the audience beforehand thanking everyone for the tremendous amount of support they received that night as well as over the previous weeks. His talk was very much appreciated and heartfelt.

Finally, the artists, Kate Pearson (of the B52's), the very highly regarded singer-songwriter Jules Shear, and Gail Anne Dorsey (vocalist/bassist for David Bowie embarking on her own career as a singer-songwriter) put on a very enjoyable show. We are very lucky to have their world-class talents available in this area and very appreciative to them for so graciously donating their time and talents to this cause. Ralph Legnini, Katie's husband, was a fantastic MC (and also joined Kate on guitar). The Academy Awards should use him next time.
