This is a great version of my song “I’m in Love” produced by Paul Opalach using vocals I did in 2014. Memphis-style, full band. Love it! “Fabulous!” Paul's playing all the parts except drums by my dear friend Mike Marble.
NOTES
I love this version of "I'm in Love" that Paul Opalach did on a free night in his Connecticut studio. It's a thrill to hear a song I wrote and sang produced in a whole different way. These are the exact same vocals I used in my version, just a whole new song. Love it! I hope you do too! Paul's playing everything except drums, which are played by my good friend, Mike Marble. Talented …

This Bar Scott at her unusual best. We think of her as quiet and controlled. This version of The Hanging Tree proves her versatility and openness to new forms.
NOTES
In the last year, I've become more interested in doing covers. I've found a great way to do it, too: sing the vocals then send the tracks to my friends Paul and Mike on the other side of the country. What they do is amazing! I would never have thought to produce this song the way they have. And I would never have thought to cover this song at all if my student Annie Frost …

I've performed in fabulous halls like The Beacon Theater in New York, The Terrytown Music Hall, The Clearwater Music Festival, and the Cathedral at Saint John the Divine during two of their New Year's Eve Peace concerts in New Year City. I've done loads of house concerts, which I love, …

The great jazz standards of the 1930s-1950s including "The Nearness of You", "Good Morning, Heartache", and the beautiful "Where Is Love" from Oliver sung by the phenomenal Bar Scott in her inimitable style.
NOTES
Making this record has been a dream of mine since my mid-twenties long before I became a song writer myself. Back then, I only thought of myself as a singer, but my desire to learn how to write songs was so strong that I put records like this one on the back burner. Now, with 6 CDs of original songs under my belt, it felt like the right time to focus on just being a singer …
